The Role:
Final Draft is seeking an Account Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the EDU and Studio Enterprise Sales Team. The three person Enterprise Team serves two primary functions: we process quotes, new orders, and renewals for our studio, university, K12, and non-profit institution subscription software, and we serve as the first point of contact for technical support and billing issues. We are a collaborative, supportive team that values autonomy and leans into individual strengths to achieve mutual goals. While fast-paced to match the needs of our expansive client list, we are passionate about delivering custom, personalized solutions that solve the problems of our customers.

As an Account Manager, you will be primarily responsible for managing communication with our enterprise clientele, writers, instructors, and procurement teams for both existing accounts and new business opportunities. This role will require you to develop, foster, and grow relationships through inbound and outbound methods with institutions around the world. In a typical week, you may process several dozen university POs, network at a Guild event with award-winning writers, host a workshop (live or remote), and engage with prospects through social media or email marketing outreach.

As this role will involve working across functions and with our VIP clientele, you should be a natural networker, self-motivated, highly organized, an excellent communicator, with a keen interest in the entertainment industry. While a remote role, proximity to Los Angeles area is highly preferred.

The Account Manager will report to Final Draft’s VP of Sales.

What You'll Do:

  • Help marketing with programs to generate and nurture leads via events, SEM, email, retargeting, targeted social advertising, and cooperative marketing with partners
  • Help marketing department connect with VIP talent and educators
  • Occasional ad hoc projects as required, like helping with our EDU newsletter, maintaining top school lists and upcoming shows roster, or assisting with social media content creation and implementation
  • Support 500+ institutions through order processing, content collection, industry communication, and organization of mandates and contacts
  • Elevate brand awareness through networking at industry events
  • Understand and negotiate license agreements
  • Communicate agreement revision requests to our legal team
  • Own testimonials and brand-specific case studies for internal marketing use; log, track, and manage internal and external correspondence on assets
  • Research and report upon pertinent entertainment industry data, such as project/company deals, news, contacts, and trends
  • Log sales, quote, and prospecting in appropriate platforms (Sage MAS90, Docusign, SalesForce, 10Dukes, HubSpot, Asana, Google Drive, Notion, SheerID, etc)
  • Manage communications with writers and educators of all levels; curate case studies and testimonials, schedule and confirm meetings, and anticipate and accommodate VIP requests in a manner consistent with our brand and values
  • Participate in designing integrated digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels to generate EDU enterprise pipeline revenue
  • Assist Enterprise Team with administrative needs including management of CRM, scheduling, tracking, and data organization Host and present dynamic, live workshops and webinars with excellent salesmanship

What we're looking for from you:

  • Experience with data entry in Google Sheets or Excel required; experience with project management and CRM platforms like Salesforce, Asana, Pipedrive, ZenDesk, or Hubspot a plus!
  • B2B or B2C sales experience required; rolodex of VIP filmmakers and/or university instructors will be valued!
  • Exceptional project management skills; must be detail oriented, able to balance competing priorities simultaneously, and hit deadlines
  • Flexible, collaborative, and supportive; able to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Proximity to the Greater Los Angeles area preferred
  • Self-starter; comfortable pushing projects forward, but willing to ask for help, support, or clarification as needed
  • BA/BS in Screenwriting, Film, Business, or comparable discipline preferredInterest in the entertainment industry; experience in screenwriting, education, and/or filmmaking a bonus!
  • Engaging and personable; comfortable with direct, high-volume interaction with writers, script coordinators, professors, and students
  • Experience with Final Draft is highly desired

$25 - $27 an hour
This is an hourly position that includes benefits. Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs.
