Aba Technician - Dearborn, Michigan - 2021

General Duties

• Prepare the treatment environment and ensure that no distractions are left prior to the session
• Pair with the client and complete a preference assessment.
• All set up in Central Reach should be prepared prior to start the client's session
• Greet the client and their family
• Start on your programs within 10 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the privacy of the client you are working with
• Keep identifying information about the client to yourself
• Maintaining Professional Relationships
• Actively engage the client throughout the session
• Conduct all programming as indicated by the supervising BCBA
• Use teaching principles and procedures based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
• Maintaining case discussions within the treatment setting
• Protecting our client’s personal medical information
• Respecting the client’s medical information and laws safeguarding it
• Any social media posts regarding client(s) are strictly prohibited and may be grounds for dismissal.
• Discussing Problematic Behaviors with the client’s family
• Breach of confidentiality may result in termination
• Commitment to Maintain Client Confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA - Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act

Qualifications

• Supervising BCBA must complete the senior technician recommendation form and submit it along with previous assessments to the Leadership Committee
• At least 6 months experience in one on one therapy with a client
• Has worked in varying functioning levels with at least 2 clients
• Must be able to score 3 @ 90% or above to qualify for the position
• Technician assessments
• Example: Has done a therapy session with a Level 1 client and a Level 3 client.
• After the review of materials, BC will be interviewed for the position
