Mechanical Designer – Bakersfield, California

Opportunity :

Parsons is now hiring for an experienced Mechanical CAD Designer to provide design and drafting service for utility clients primarily in our Southern California region. Experience with AVEA is essential for this role. This is a casual hire position.

Responsibilities :

Providing design drafting services, including developing drafting documents, providing AVEVA on-site and off-site design and administration support, and providing AutoCAD Plant 3D and Civil 3D support for compliance with applicable policies and procedures, codes and standards, and permitting requirements.

Work includes performing limited project closeout support, including indexing, scanning, and uploading project documents in the client’s pipeline document management systems

Performing site visits, feasibility studies, and project scoping; preparing conceptual designs, specifications, executive summaries, and issued for review and/or construction drawings; conducting structural observations and soil inspections; providing construction services,

Addressing requests for information, reviewing shop drawing submittals, and performing special inspections; developing 3D models using AVEVA or AutoCAD tools; and performing 3D scanning of surface facilities and providing facility annotation in AVEVA E3D software.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma (or equivalent) is preferred, as well as 7+ years or more of relevant experience.

Experience with AVEA E 3D Software is essential.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Requirements include PC literacy, a working knowledge of CAD, and a working knowledge of other computer

Salary Range:

$39.18 - $77.60
