The 3D Dental Designer creates 3D representations of dental prosthetics according to customer/prescription request using software such as, but not limited to: 3Shape and DTX. Also shares information and experience with colleagues and supervisor. He/she collaborates with other departments involved in production. The employee works in an environment subject to high quality standards, must follow established procedures and meet delivery deadlines as set by the market and customer needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design products following the directions provided by the customer’s requirements such as an Rx Form or requests specific to customer preferences
  • Submits and sends completed work images to the customers and requests approval of work
  • Sends the 3D CAD of the product into centralized production for the manufacturing of the product
  • Register new customer cases utilizing web-client when required
  • Verify data from scans during design process
  • Completes all tasks assigned by Team Lead, Group Manager or Senior Site Leadership
  • Inspect, clean and disinfect case upon arrival when required
  • Follows all SOPs to ensure compliance to the FDA 21 CRF 820 , ISO 13485 and OSHA 1910
  • Follows all standard work as defined within the work cell

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-year experience working with Digital/CAD Dental software such as: 3Shape, DTX, or Exocad
  • Minimum of 2 years of practical experience as a Dental Laboratory Technician or Dental Designer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to identify and problem solve common dental implant difficulties and implement effective solutions independently
  • Experience working with different implant manufacturers
  • Prior experience working in a regulated environment
  • Dental Technology degree preferred
  • CDT or MDT preferred
