JOB/POSITION TITLE: Elementary Worship Leader
OFFICE/CAMPUS: Christian Ministries/Elementary
REPORTS TO: Elementary Christian Ministries Coordinator
STATUS: 10 Months, Casual (Non-Exempt)

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To lead worship at two Elementary chapels every Tuesday and Wednesday.

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Manage the transitions of chapel time - with music, conversation, prayer etc.
  • Work in conjunction with Elementary Christian Ministries Coordinator to select songs each week.
  • Be at Chapel during the times of 8:05-8:40am and 8:45-9:25am
  • When possible, use common vocabulary of EL Chapels (5 Act Play, God Wow)
  • Assist with Set up/check mics, sound, instruments, 7:15, Tuesday
  • Read the audience during worship, respond and adjust as needed to set the tone and mood for worship.
  • Online time card, to be completed at end of each chapel day

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Spiritual: Must have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their life and; demonstrate a living relationship with Jesus Christ as described in “The Baptist Faith and Message”, the tenets of the Southern Baptist denomination.
  • Skills/Knowledge: Enjoys working with children. Good verbal communication skills.
  • Education/Training: Graduation from high school.

COMPENSATION: An hourly wage will be provided which includes Chapel, set up, and time given for preparation.
