Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Associate Product Manager – DC Systems & 3PL
REPORTS TO: Director – Product Management DC Systems & 3PL

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Product Manager – Distribution Center Systems & 3PL will be an integral member of AEO’s International Technology team building the product vision and roadmap to enable the transformation of AEO, Inc into a truly global omni-channel retailer. You will work with a key set of stakeholders to enhance our technology infrastructure and systems to deliver an outstanding experience to our internal distribution center network and our partner 3PL’s. You will be part of a team with a digital first mindset tasked with building systems, operations, and processes to deliver exceptional customer experiences that will accelerate our global brand value and recognition.

This role will partner with cross-functional teams including business and financial teams, internal technology teams and third-party vendors to drive the development of new capabilities and processes that further American Eagle Outfitter’s position as a leader in fashion and retail.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Tackle technical software challenges which solve concrete real-world problems; identify and lead solutions that recognize significant business and customer value.
  • Help prioritize features based on customer and business impacts and understand the art of sequencing their delivery with an agile framework.
  • Partner with multiple engineering teams on development, testing & implementation plans as well as internal communications & deployment plans.
  • Contribute with leadership teams to develop and track OKRs and other system metrics.
  • Contribute to product vision and roadmap; develop relationships with global stakeholders to align goals and priorities
  • Meet the needs of global partners and stakeholders with availability for varying hours across time zones and international travel.
  • Synthesize business requirements, identify areas of uncertainty, recommend solutions and gather buy-in from relevant stakeholders.
  • Helping make data driven decisions; analyze market research, user feedback, data, and competitive landscape to identify new product opportunities and enhancements.
  • Contribute to the managing day to day product development activities within the Agile framework.
  • Champion the needs of customers by thoroughly understanding the unique needs of the various locations & 3PL functionality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to drive team results.
  • Exposure to Product Management & Agile Methodology
  • Great verbal/written communication and persuasion skills; proven ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Experience working in matrixed organizational structures with a high level of organizational agility, strategic acumen and interpersonal savvy.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Great Sense of Humor
  • Great muli-tasker

Job Location: Fully Remote + Bit of US only Travel
