Job Description
Job Details Eligibility
  • Required to advise school administration if the student(s)' ride is longer so that OPT can be contacted and the bus route adjusted.
  • Authorization to work in the United States General Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for recording and submitting time sheets that record the actual time they are on the bus with the student(s).
  • Individual must be available Monday through Friday, and commit to the entire program or until the student(s) no longer requires the services. Anticipated Work Schedule
  • Responsible for implementing a behavior plan documenting the student(s) progress, assisting the student(s) in coping with situations, and communicating with school personnel and parents
  • May be based on students' need for continuity of service.
  • Provide supervision to the student(s) to increase their skills in appropriate behavior while riding the school bus or any other vehicle.
  • Individual must have a satisfactory record of attendance and punctuality.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned/needed Selection Criteria
  • High School Diploma
  • Assignment will be made based upon qualification and/or official DOE seniority.
  • Pre-school arrival and after dismissal. The maximum length of this assignment is one and one half hours prior to the start of the student's school day and one and one half hours after school dismissal. Salary As Per Collective Bargaining Agreement (*Payment should not exceed 1 and ½ hours for each bus ride.) Application All applicants are subject to a fingerprint and background check.
