1St Shift - Material Handler (7Am-3Pm)

Job Summary: The Driver/Material Handler performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies. This position will also be responsible for transporting goods around each facility as required utilizing a van or medium-sized box truck. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ability to lift/move heavy objects
• Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of goods
• Preparing materials from storage to assembly line
• Inspects the vehicle pre- and post-trip
• Delivers WIP (Work in Process) material to various departments to support the manufacturing process
• Basic computer skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Ability to get up and sit down many times throughout the day
• Experience driving a company vehicle
• Time management and organizational skills to keep track of inter-department deliveries and stay on schedule
• Performs work under minimal supervision Physical Requirements:
• Completes paperwork or forms required for documentation
• Examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify
• Oral and written communication skills
• Determines method of replenishment utilizing knowledge of procedures and routes
• Clerical skills
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with other employees
• Physical stamina Education and Experience:
• Operates material handling equipment such as part carts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
