Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

Good organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; attention to detail is crucial

Minimum of two years of relevant and progressive office/clerical experience acquired from working in insurance underwriting or related industry

Possess and have the ability to apply basic knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures

Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy

Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)

Experience working with internal/external clients

Complete portfolio process (RPA) prior to renewal date

Complete pre-underwriting process of renewals by Underwriter due date and new business submissions

Coordinate the pre-underwriting process which includes, but is not limited to:

Request for add'l info from agent or PMA staff

Ordering RMA, D&B, MVR's and synopsis

Experience in aviation insurance or risk management is a plus.

Manage your own workflow and workflows held by the underwriting team on various projects via a paperless system.

Kennesaw, GA (3 days in office/2 days remote)

0–1 year of administrative experience.

Experience in ImageRight and/or AS400 is a plus.

Provide timely and professional customer service to internal and external contacts.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field of study

This position suits candidates with some exposure to underwriting concepts and experience in the Insurance Industry.

Fluent and excellent written and verbal communication skills (English & Spanish).

Analytical skills, organized, proactive and detail oriented is a must.

2 or more years insurance experience, commercial auto/general liability experience preferred

Experience with ISO rating/forms a plus

High school diploma or equivalent, college experience preferred

Collect data, review, analyze, and rate new and renewal business for new program.

3 weeks of classroom instruction, including skills practice on mannequins

1 week of clinical skill training/practice in a clinical area

Certification in basic life support

Track inspection requirements and recommendation status.

High School Diploma required; some college or prior insurance experience preferred.

Experience working on time restraints while maintaining accuracy.

Extreme diligence and organization skills required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as mathematical aptitude.

Instruction on Financial Lines insurance basics, financial analysis, corporate and regulatory risk assessment, sales and marketing skills, systems and technical training.

Hands on experience to learn to be an effective negotiator and build strong relationships.

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred; equivalent experience considered

Commitment to develop knowledge and understanding of underwriting
