Overview Train Drivers are responsible for operating trains in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring that passengers and freight are transported safely and on time. They must be able to read and interpret railway timetables, signals, and other instructions, and be able to communicate effectively with other staff and passengers. Train Drivers must be able to operate the train in all weather conditions, and must be able to respond quickly and appropriately to any emergency situation. They must also be able to inspect the train and its equipment before and after each journey, and report any defects or irregularities.
