Staff Data Scientist Jobs

Research and implement models to deeply understand and improve in-game experiences for our players (e.g., gameplay/balance tuning, player segmentation/clustering, etc.)

Up-level others on the team through mentorship and peer review using your experience and domain expertise

Passion and experience with games developed by Firaxis and Gearbox

Experience in applying statistical analysis, machine learning, and experimentation design within a consumer-facing business

Proficient in relational databases and SQL. Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, NoSQL databases

Partner/influence directly with and regularly present insights to key strategic business partners (e.g., Growth Strategy, Marketing, Product Development)

Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required: Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry or related field with 3-5 years laboratory/research experience

Previous experience with cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography and biochemistry is preferred

Excellent organizational, record keeping, task prioritization, and report preparation skills

Outstanding problem-solving skills, ability to implement solutions

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Build and maintain complex dashboard reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.

Influence and educate the team with your experience, idea and learning.

Bachelor's Degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) and 8+ years of experience

Experience leveraging big data technologies such as Hive, Hadoop, Spark

Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and architecture.

Experience with visualization tools for data reporting such as Tableau, Looker

Knowledge of statistical modeling or machine learning is preferred but not a requirement

8+ years of relevant work experience in growth or marketing capacity, with demonstrated experience developing and analyzing marketing campaigns

Industry experience in Banking, Brokerage, Credit Card and Marketing Analytics highly desired

5+ years of professional industry Data Science or Analytics experience, ideally within a consumer facing technology industry

Experience using statistical and machine learning methods to build descriptive and predictive models

Experience working with data technologies that allow effective storage and analysis of large amounts of data (e.g. Spark, Presto, etc)

Apply data science methods to understand the most meaningful aspects of our product, users, and business

Organize disparate facts and findings into powerful narratives that have the broadest possible application within Slack

Evangelize evidence-based decision making by partnering with key decision makers and driving accessibility of data and insights
