Referee Tester Jobs

Knowledge/rules of the game of soccer and ability to teach players and coaches.

Conducts field inspection prior to scheduled games.

Sets up corner flags before games and correctly stores corner flags at the conclusion of games.

Inspects player equipment as outlined in the MSSL rules.

Learns and enforces the Mid Suburban Soccer League (MSSL) rules as they apply to the Villa Park Youth Soccer League.

Conducts first aid procedures as necessary.

Exercise knowledge in league rules

Skill conducting judicial, quasi-judicial or administrative hearings.

Experience with a wide variety of legal matters.

Skill communicating effectively orally and in writing to a variety of audiences.

Five (5) years of experience as a trial attorney in criminal, civil, or family litigation.

Ruling on ex parte matters

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Basic knowledge of the principles and practices of administrative law.

Qualified applicants must submit an application that clearly reflects work experience that demonstrates the following:

Demonstrated ability to interpret laws, rules, regulations, and court decisions.

Demonstrated ability to analyze facts, evidence, and legal documents.

Must be able to pass Volo referee certification test

Prior referee experience a plus, but not required

Experience in diffusing challenging situations a plus

REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Arrive on time for all games when assigned.

Wear appropriate uniform as required to support position as a referee.

Appropriately use a whistle during games.

Make calls that are consistent and correct with the rules of basketball.

Move about the court to keep up with play to make appropriate calls.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 6 college level credits in English composition or other related English courses.

Knowledge of the rules for the YMCA Adult Sports Program and the governing body of the league sanction

Must have previous playing or officiating experience or have completed referee training clinic

Excellent verbal and communication skills

CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred

Responsible for being prompt and professional during all games and program activities

The ability to work as a team member, communicate effectively to the community.

Notify manager on duty of any fights, threats, or damages that occur in writing the day of incident

Responsible for starting games on time

Ensure the rink is free of debris and all gates are shut before starting play

Enforce all rules in an impartial and professional manner

Responsible for keeping games safe and in control

Must look, dress, and act professional
