Plastics Manufacturing Production Manager Jobs

BS/MS in Engineering or Physical Science related field preferred or equivalent experience with evidence of exceptional abilities

Good computer skills, experience with Microsoft Suite

Manage the performance in preventative maintenance and repair on a variety of lectro-mechanica and pneumatic automobile manufacturing equipment

Manage projects involving multiple departments and/or outside contractors

Skilled at leading, coaching and developing direct reports across a broad range of engineering and technical disciplines

Broad experience with lean manufacturing systems and methodologies, including; Tier Accountability, Layered Auditing, Continuous Improvement and Kaizen Activities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deal effectively with all levels of management.

Manage and report out on program profit and loss and budgets.

Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

Monitor design development, program progress, and serve as primary point of contact for all site-related activities.

Responsible for the program’s status, specifications, quality assurance.

Identify and resolve issues that may impede program’s completion.

Be required to have excellent communication and presentation skills;

Preferably have distribution experience in plastics or other materials;

Preferably have a four year degree and/or four years outside sales experience;

Have excellent organizational and planning skills;

Possess PC skills, including MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

5+ years of experience in supply chain management, or commodity management associated to metal stamping

Address all areas of category management including category business plans, market conditions, technology roadmaps, cost modeling, and sourcing strategies

Communicate key supply, cost, and/or quality issues with management teams. Develop corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks.

Manage respective supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews

Experience in supervision in a manufacturing environment required.

Strong troubleshooting experience with automated manufacturing equipment and/or robotics preferred.

· Oversees personnel management, including hiring, training, and performance management of the production teams.

· Identifies training needs and provides training to employees to improve skills and knowledge.

· At least five years of managerial experience in a production environment.

· Monitors and manages inventory levels to ensure materials and supplies are available for production needs.

· Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.

· Process optimization: The ability to manage execution by continuously improving processes, maximizing efficiencies, and reducing waste.
