Nurse Practitioner Primary Care Non Exempt Jobs

Experience: Must have good telephone and communication skills.

Skill in assisting in a variety of treatments, procedures and office procedures for ophthalmology and optometry.

Knowledge of ophthalmology office procedures preferred.

General medical knowledge of anatomy, physiology, systemic and ocular diseases preferred.

Experience with administration of eye drops, ointments and irrigating solutions, and pharmacology of drugs used in dilation preferred.

Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology program. Prefer Mammography education of 40 hours mammography training but will train the right candidate.

BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

At most every 3rd weekend with holiday requirement

Weekend and shift differential offered

Night Shift, 7p-7a 12hr shifts, Self scheduled

Flexible FTE in 12hr shift increments

0.45 (3 12hrs shifts per pay period)

Knowledge and experience working the regulatory requirement of the Department of Transportation, NYS Department of Health, and NYS Workers’ Compensation Law

One year of experience in Occupational Medicine or a walk-in type urgent care setting

Skills in decision making, problem solving, and independent judgment

National certification through ANCC, American Nurse Credential Center

Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse License

Current NYS Nurse Practitioner License
