Overview A Mixer Driver is responsible for operating a mixer truck to transport and deliver concrete to construction sites. They must be knowledgeable about the properties of concrete, the safety regulations for transporting it, and the proper maintenance of the truck and its equipment. Detailed Job Description Mixer Drivers are responsible for operating a mixer truck to transport and deliver concrete to construction sites. They must be knowledgeable about the properties of concrete, the safety regulations for transporting it, and the proper maintenance of the truck and its equipment. They must also be able to read and understand delivery orders and follow instructions from the customer. Mixer Drivers must be able to drive safely and efficiently, and must be able to maneuver the truck in tight spaces. They must also be able to inspect the truck and its equipment before and after each trip, and must be able to perform basic maintenance and repairs as needed. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of the properties of concrete
• Knowledge of safety regulations for transporting concrete
• Ability to read and understand delivery orders
• Ability to drive safely and efficiently
• Ability to maneuver the truck in tight spaces
• Ability to inspect the truck and its equipment
• Ability to perform basic maintenance and repairs
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
