Livestock Technician Jobs

Ensure the livestock’s basic daily needs are cared for

Cleaning paddocks and habitats daily

Observing livestock daily and document any changes in behavior

Interact with guests and answer any questions

Assist with other daily operations of the park

Able to stand on feet for prolonged periods of time

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Experience in general farm work; and such training as may have been gained through completion of the eighth school grade; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

This position is subject to North Dakota Veteran’s Preference requirements.

Monday - Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Participates in emergency management activities and responses to disease outbreaks as assigned.

Performs periodic public education contacts with community media resources and organizations.

Inspector II – Must have general experience working with livestock;

Collects samples for testing from cattle, swine, equine, exotics, sheep, goats and poultry.

Enforces quarantines and other livestock disease control measures, including livestock shipment activities.

Maintains accurate and detailed work activity records.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
