Legal Counsel Litigation Jobs in New York

General knowledge of banking regulations and bank operations. Previous banking experience preferred.

Confidence to interact with and advise senior management and division managers across the institution.

Effective and highly proficient advocacy, research, drafting/writing and oral communication skills.

Ability to effectively supervise, coordinate and manage, as necessary, multiple priorities, projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Support various matters involving employee relations and investigate and handle disputes and conduct internal investigations.

Engage with stakeholders to support product development, support product campaigns, review marketing and advertising materials and advise on customer communications.

Strong working knowledge of global privacy and data security laws. Experience with other consumer laws a plus.

At least 8 years of experience as a practicing attorney.

Advise on privacy and data security terms for agreements relating to content and digital product distribution.

Help develop scalable processes for legal review of new product launches.

Work closely with other members of the legal team to address the company’s broader data collection, storage, use and transfer practices.

Support Roku’s privacy compliance efforts as needed.

Interface on a day-to-day basis with various internal teams (Creative, Production, Finance, etc.) and production personnel, as needed

Manage relationships with outside counsel

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Experience managing a high-volume workload while operating autonomously within corporate parameters and deadlines.

Experience in managing, supervising and training personnel is a plus

Structure, negotiate, and draft development, production and distribution deals for scripted and unscripted programming for all film, television and digital licensees/platforms

Strong organizational and time management skills (with ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects)

At least eight years’ experience (combination of law firm and in-house preferred) handling large commercial transactions

Work experience in the gambling and/or sports sectors a plus

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (with ability to build consensus across diverse interest groups, and clearly and concisely convey complex concepts)

Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Juris Doctor degree from accredited law school
