Housekeeping Operations Assistant Director Jobs

Minimum 5 years of Housekeeping management experience

Ability to communicate in English clearly and pleasantly with guests, management/co-workers, both in person and on the telephone

Strong communication and presentation skills

Ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations and manage a departmental budget

Experience managing in a union environment

Previous experience managing Environmental Services

5+ years of project management experience required

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

Monitor and manage project financials and generate client billing with internal Xcenda finance and external client financial stakeholders

Manage project scope / changes, functioning as an escalation point to ensure impact is communicated and approved

Learn and manage client-specific processes to ensure compliance

Strong working knowledge and understanding of Client Submissions processes for Medical/Legal reviews

Maintain a good working knowledge of the facilities and services offered by the resort.

Carry out any reasonable requests made by manager and other members of the management team in a timely manner.

Maintain ownership and follow up when issues needs involvement of other departments, managers and colleagues to be resolved.

Be willing to share knowledge to help the team achieve personal and departmental goals.

Manage team attendance and time keeping – monitoring and recording both and taking the necessary counseling, corrective and disciplinary actions immediately.

Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.

5 years of Rooms Housekeeping Management experience

Three to five (3-5) years’ experience in a management capacity inside a Casino/Resort environment is a plus

Must have, as a minimum, five (5) years related housekeeping experience, with a working background in productivity planning in a hotel

Must have well developed problem solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives

Directs all Housekeeping staff ensuring that hotel standards are maintained and exceeded

Evaluates safe work practices in job performance reviews

Assures that Housekeeping staff follows established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies at all times

Assist in the management of the sanitation team to ensure a clean and sanitary work place within a food manufacturing environment

Must have supervisory experience and a technical background (knowledge of mechanical/electrical equipment)

Experience directing skilled, semi-skilled and non-skilled trade personnel in a union and/or non-union environment is required

P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is desirable

Help to prepare and manage the facility sanitation and maintenance plans, and helps to establish operational goals

Experience with food production and sanitation a must

Ensure compliance with all corporate Risk Management standards (MSDS, HazComm, etc.).

Perform other duties as requested by management.

Ensure that large guestroom turns are managed efficiently.

Manage vendor contracts (i.e. dry cleaners, window washers, etc.).

Prepare employee schedule according to business forecast, payroll budget guidelines and productivity requirements.

Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication with managers, employees and other departments.

2-3 years of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience

Refined verbal and written communication skills.

Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills

Previous experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements
