Management and oversight of the ice hockey recruiting budget

Identifying athletic and academic abilities compatible with UMass Lowell standards

2-3 years successful experience in ice hockey coaching and program administration

Effective communication, interpersonal and public relations skills

Evaluating and encouraging student–athletes to apply for admissions

Providing assistance in the areas of game preparation/analysis and player progress/evaluation

Assist in management of recruiting database of potential recruits.

Manage recruitment of student-athletes on a national and international level.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent coaching experience.

Collegiate ice hockey competitive experience.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Collegiate and/or international playing experience at a competitive level.

Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.

One year of collegiate coaching experience (preferably at the Division I level).

Bachelor’s degree by date of appointment.

Ability to work with Goalkeepers.

Assisting the head coach in the planning and execution of games, practices and skill development

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and collegiate playing or coaching experience required

Knowledge of NESCAC and NCAA Division III policies are preferred

Cultural competence and effective communication skills are required

Experience with using video breakdown, analysis, and analytics to improve team performance

Experience with managing group travel arrangements

Imparts to student-athletes the fundamental philosophy, skills, and knowledge essential to the sport

Assist with the planning and implementation of team practices

Team Management: Recruiting, Budgeting, Scheduling, Travel Logistics, Competition and Practice Coaching, and Public Relations.

Bachelor’s Degree preferred or combination of education/experience

Develop leadership skills and instill core values in student athletes.

Maintain knowledge of and adherence to all NAIA, ACHA, University, and departmental rules and regulations.

Timely submission and reconciliation of paperwork to the Athletic Business Operations Manager.

3 years of coaching experience, preferred coaching at the collegiate level
