Predictable, consistent and reliable attendance. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of an MA technical program or prior MA experience

Prior successful experience in an MA position preferred but not required

Assists providers with patient care, e.g. office visits, vital signs, procedures, and sterilization of instruments.

Prepare, document and administer injections, as well as vaccine translation and temperature log.

Performs various diagnostics including venipuncture, collects lab specimens, EKG, HCG and strep tests.

Administers preventative/population health management screens and questionnaires (e.g. PHQ2 and other behavioral health screens) and records in medical record.

Utilize the care team's population health management registry or other applicable database for preventative care outreach, including:

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to the groups of patients regularly served.

Prints disposition forms and patient education materials

Assists with staging selected prior authorization for medication or supplies needed under the direction of nurse manager or designee

Maintain vendor logs/relationship and informs nurse manager or designee of equipment needing service

Customarily has at least one year of direct management experience

Working knowledge of principles and practices of personnel recruitment, selection, coaching and other aspects of performance management

Administers testing by medical staff to ensure proper performance, and ensures all certifications are current and regulatory procedures are adhered.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field or equivalent directly related work experience preferred

Customarily has at least six months of healthcare experience

Compensation starts at $17/hr. Final pay is determined by overall experience.

Willingness to be cross-trained in a variety of both front and back-office duties to provide full cycle clinic support

Escorting patient to exam room; obtaining vitals, past/present medical history, and current medication list

Effectively communicating allergy testing and treatment protocols to patients

1-2 years of related experience

Greet patients and escort them to the examination rooms; assist patients with the completion of forms as necessary.

Become familiar with clinic computer hardware and software and use according to company policies.

Answer multiple line and multiple language telephone lines.

Schedule appointments and accommodate patient appointment needs, such as ordering transportation, rescheduling, etc.

Contact insurance companies to verify eligibility.

Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures

Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

Additional Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required

Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software

Medical Assistant experience preferred for Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience managing multiple providers and large staff is preferred 

You will identify a strategy for the growth and execution of daily/weekly/monthly goals.
