Food Truck Cook Jobs

Complete all tasks assigned by the shift leader or management.

Excellent knowledge of all required food safety practices

Relevant Serve Safe certificate; food service manager certificate considered a plus

Friendly Staff (to the customer and to each other)

Performs general cooking, food preparation, and serving meals using standardized recipes and procedures

Cleans and sanitizes cooking area according to standard sanitation procedures

Checks food against predetermined quality prior to service

Ability to read, write, and follow instructions

Minimum two years experience in quantity cooking and preparation of special diets, preferably in healthcare.

Ability and/or experience in directing employees.

Maintain high standards of sanitation by following HACCP principles in day-to-day operations.

Ensure proper food temperature standards are followed, to include maintaining required temperature logs.

Monitor refrigerators, freezers, food temperatures, pot and pan sink sanitizer daily.

Prepare meals for residents, including therapeutic diets, mechanically altered, select menus, special functions, substitutions to ensure residents needs are met.

Basic arithmetic skills to manage cash transactions and deposit.

Communicate with the Food Court Manager or Mobile Food Service Supervisor regarding any discrepancies with payment processing.

Previous cashiering experience in a food service or retail setting.

Good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with a diverse international customer base.

Operate the Point of Sale system in conducting payment transactions with customers, while adhering to accounting and department policies and procedures.

Maintain secure possession of bank key to protect company funds at all times.
