Coordination and Management of Hazardous Waste Program; Support to Solid Waste Program and Spill Response

Develop procedures for the management of hazardous and universal waste

Must meet and be able to maintain all certificationrequirements required for work area.

Assist supervisors and managers in identifying and mitigating potentially hazardous conditions; and

Provide technical assistance and guidance to hazardous and universal waste generators and satellite accumulation area managers

2-5 years environmental compliance experience

Less than 2 years of professional experience in environmental consulting

Asbestos Inspector and Lead Inspector Certifications preferred, but not required

Conduct site reconnaissance, including sampling activities

Prepare deliverables with quality supporting documentation (site figures, appendices)

Ability to work independently and meet project schedule deadlines

Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university in environmental science, engineering or related field

Communicate regularly with project manager(s) and/or field team lead(s), regarding data collection and progress

Proven technical, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to navigate on the road and in the field in remote settings

1-5 years of field work experience as a team or independently

Demonstrated experience in applied field ecology

Experience with MS office applications (Outlook, Excel, Access, and Word)

Provide technical oversight, review, and/or project management of ongoing state and/or federal grant/loan programs.

Fulfill established educational, training, and safety requirements.

Advise management about work issues of concern as they occur.

Substitution of Education for Experience:

Performs laboratory or field tests based specific sample requirements.

Adheres to requirements specified in Standard Operating Procedures and any applicable federal and/or state standards.

Knowledge and experience with Pacific Northwest vegetation and wildlife.

Minimum 5 years of related employment experience preferably in environmental consulting and permitting.

Wetland delineation certification is required.

Experience with ESA compliance and PNW fisheries a plus.

Conduct wetland delineations and prepare reports per USACE/Ecology manuals; complete wetland functional ratings.

Minimum of 0 -2 years of professional experience. Appropriate professional certification preferred.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.

Ensure projects fulfill ISO compliance requirements

Assist with preparation of proposals and qualifications in repsonse to RFPs and RFQs
