Electrical Panel Assembler Jobs

Must have hands-on experience with electrical panels and assemblies

Experience with AC/DC panels and 208VAC and 24VDC panel assemblies

Participate in review, and construction of equipment

Install or assist with installation of Electrical and mechanical components and assemblies

Inspect, install, wire/rewire, and repair as needed

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all electrical systems

Working knowledge of UL 508 A code

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule

1-2 years’ experience assembling and wiring control panels per UL508A codes

Ability to build electrical control panels start to finish with general direction and supervision

Ability to layout, fab, wire any control panel, with general direction and supervision

Calculate wire sizing for panels, with general direction and supervision

Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures

Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process

Take precision measurements to ensure a perfect fit of components

Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications

Align material and put together parts to build more complex units

High School Diploma and 1-3 years electrical assembly experience required

Ability to manage time & work well under high pressure

Read work orders, wiring diagrams and specifications to determine required assembly methods

Analyze schematics and drawings of electrical systems to determine the efficiency and safety of the installation

Participate in meetings, training, and seminars as assigned for the purpose of conveying and gathering information required to perform job function

Coordinate with others to complete projects

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Understands the requirements of using calibrated tools when specified

2-3 Years of relative experience is preferred

Experience using hand tools (wrenches, screw drivers, hammers)

Wiring experience is a plus but not required for all roles

Previous experience reading schematics and drawings is preferred

Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment

Aligns, fits, and assembles component parts using hand tools and power tools

Mounts electrical components such as breakers, transformers, and integrated circuits

Wiring experience is a plus but not required for all roles

Requires knowledge/skills and experience with hand soldering in an Aerospace or related field.

Assemble various electronic devices and harnesses using drawings, work instructions, operation sheets, and / or schematics.

Perform trouble-shooting tasks as required.

Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation

Present objective evidence to Quality Assurance that tasks were completed to all specifications.

Observe industry best practices for FOD, ESD, and material handling controls.

· Knowledge using mechanical equipment associated with performance of duties.

· Minimum of 3+ years’ experience

· Experience with material handling equipment

Bloomfield, CT 06002: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Blueprint reading: 1 year (Required)

· Build equipment based on accurate and efficient interpretation of drawings, schematics, blueprints, and sketches

3+ years' experience in the functional area Specialized Knowledge & Skills (If Applicable) in the following areas:

Education Minimum high school education or equivalent.

Familiar with IPC- know soldering requirements, inspecting requirements. How many classes are in IPC.

Teamwork. Ability to work effectively in groups of 2-10 people. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions (If Applicable)

Use hand tools to crimp, soldering and screw bolts. Crimping is a mechanical skill/install hardware and familiar with a torque driver.

PC Skills: Must be familiar with using different manufacturing applications and be able to navigate simple software.

3 years experience in the above listed skills.

Electrical Knowledge: 3 years (Required)

Requires a high school diploma or GED

High school or equivalent (Required)

Panel building: 3 years (Required)

2nd Shift is from 1 – 9 p.m. A shift differential is paid.
