Here is what I am looking for:

There are four Volunteer roles to be filled:

The PM needs to track final editing through marketing and publication.

Minimum three years of professional journalism experience.

A sharp eye for detail.

An inquisitiveness about a broad array of topics

The ability to frame news and feature articles and write sparkling display copy.

A track record of developing strong and trusting relationships with reporters and fellow editors.

A commitment to The Times’s mission and values.

Minimum three years of professional visual journalism experience

Technical skills, including proficiency in imaging software, and a facility for learning new technology and tools.

Ability to communicate in writing and in person clearly, concisely and persuasively.

A background in any number of other disciplines. Here are a few examples:

Photography/video — field reporting, interviewing, creating and editing/packaging imagery or footage.

Copy editing — critical thinking, story framing/organization, tone, grammar and tightening language.

Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask on deadline.

Must be professional in dealing with colleagues, employees and management.

Skill with headline writing and caption writing to fit specifications.

Write/edit headlines/cutlines that support and enhance the stories we tell.

Show attention to detail when reviewing pages prior to publication.

Meet all product deadlines and standards for quality.
