5 - 8 Years Tractor/Trailer Equipment Transport Experience Required.

Two years of full-time work experience in operating heavy trucks or tractor-trailers exceeding four tons.

Load and unload the trailer.

Assemble orders from the customer purchase orders, stack onto pallets, and shrink wrap in a manner to ensure food is secure.

Use the delivery schedule to ensure orders are ready for timely delivery.

Correctly load trucks for delivery, considering even distribution of weight, type of product, and order of deliveries.

Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience

Use an electronic log to ensure a record of daily service hours following FMCSA, state, and company requirements

Ability to read and comprehend information relayed by Driver Manager or the Production, Receiving Facilities

Must have and maintain valid FMCSA physical certification for interstate driving

Pay Range: $55,000 - $58,000, depending on experience

Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience

2 years of driving experience with a Class A Vehicle.

Transport finished goods or raw materials between facilities.

Load and unload goods using forklift or pallet jacks or connect or disconnect trailers at destination.

Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, as well as verify load and seal numbers.

Maintain DOT time log, Bill of Lading, and other paperwork as required.

Requires demonstrated knowledge, skills, abilities and desire to handle materials safely, while driving, loading and unloading, etc.

Must meet all requirements for drivers as set forth in Part 391-Qualification of Drivers of the Federal Motor

Requires demonstrated knowledge of and experience with preventive maintenance procedures necessary to perform routine DOT inspections for tractors and trailers.

Minimum of one (1) years of Over the Road (OTR) or regional experience.

Requires demonstrated knowledge of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and Hazardous Material Shipping

Requires demonstrated communications, interpersonal, and teamwork skills necessary to work safely and effectively with customers and Targa employees.
