Bus Tire Technician Jobs

Wages are dependent on experience, skills, and certifications.

Maintain timely and professional communication with management, employees, vendors and customers

Promote sales through explaining benefits of service and products to customers

Adhere to all local, state and federal regulations concerning all facets of job responsibilities and duties, and store operations

Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check

Eligible to earn PTO each pay period

Knowledge of tire requirements to include use of wheel balancers, tire specifications, Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems and some drivability diagnostic experience

Reviews repair order requests and makes visual inspection of vehicles to determine the extent of tire service requirements and materials needed

High school graduate, comparable vocational training or 6 months of tire technician experience

Must have knowledge of non-technical tire and auto service processes and procedures. Knowledge of systems software pertaining to automotive servicing

Familiarity with tire and lube requirements and specifications

Knowledge of Mitchell Repair and All-Data

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

Adhere to General Work Requirements

Conduct metrology certifications (applies to qualified personnel only)

Assist other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of NDT inspection methods

Ability to work toward obtaining requirements of NAS 410 per assignment

You have 1 year of machining experience (preferred)

Time Management- Managing one’s own time

Identify and inflate tires correctly for the size, ply, and load requirement.

Mechanical- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Knowledge of commonly used tools

Follow established procedures to inspect tires, and wheels before and after service.

Determine repairable tire conditions and make such repairs.

Repair and install tires on a variety of vehicles, including farm and industrial machinery

Perform basic vehicle maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and more

Operate technology and machinery to effectively complete a diverse range of projects

Minimum of 2 years of related experience

2 year technical degree (mechanical or electrical related) or skilled trades

Some Electronic and Electrical skills

Takes measurements and performs routine biological or chemical analytical tests according to standard procedures

Compiles research data, operating records, and reports of test results

Controls stocks of materials and chemical agents

Provide Preventative Maintenance, Repairs and Federal Inspections of the location’s area Fleet Trucks.
