Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) Certification (CPOE education provided upon hire)

Manage faxing and referral process.

Skills Required: Previous use of EMR, Medical Terminology, Type 60+ words per minute accurately.

Job training, professional development, & continued education

2 years of experience as a Medical Scribe in a clinical setting preferred.

Oncology experience is highly preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required.

Computer proficiency with typing skills above 60 words/minute.

Assisting physicians with documentation of patient encounters in the Electronic Health Record.

Tracking results of ancillary studies such as labs, imaging, and EKGs in real-time.

Acting as a liaison between providers and their patients.

Must be able to commute to Westchester County.

Must have open availability every weekday, primarily Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

1+ years of Medical Scribe experience

Experience working in-person with patients

Will be documenting physician visit in EMR system

Will be hands on with some instruments when asked by physician

Will do work ups after doctor visits with patient

Will communicate with patients should be able to speak on the procedures/treatment

Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

At least 2 years experience as a medical scribe in the outpatient primary care domain

Previous experience annotating SOAP notes from audio files/transcripts

Technology Requirements For Remote Medical Scribes
