Associate Buyer Franki Jobs

Minimum of 3 years buying and/or planning experience, Off Price buying experience a plus

Thorough knowledge of merchandising and technical aspects of merchandising to include fabric, design, silhouettes, etc.

Working knowledge of the off-price and second-hand market

Compensation Range: $80,000 - $85,000 commensurate with experience

Provides regular analysis and reporting on sales and margin performance, including providing interpretation of key business issues and recognizing business opportunities

Work with PDC team on processing, pricing, ticketing and distribution of product to ensure maximum revenue

Manage the processing of requisitions, purchase orders, and contracts within the City enterprise procurement systems.

Guide other City departments in the use of the enterprise procurement system to effectively and efficiently utilize system capabilities.

Incumbent is encouraged to work towards obtaining certification as a Buyer.

Knowledge of the principles and practices of purchasing as related to government organizations.

Knowledge of sources of goods and services relating to department needs.

Experience with an integrated financial system (PeopleSoft preferred)

Maintains knowledge base of industry and competitor market trends as it relates to their assigned business area

Manages and controls the markdown process and communicates variances to the buyer

Merchandising, product and analytical skills

Knowledge of desktop applications and Windows-based programs

Strong working knowledge of Assortment Planning, Clustering, Strategic Performance Reporting System, Frequency, Promotional Performance Reporting

3-4 years of related experience

Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, written and verbal

2-3 years relevant retail/buying/merchandising experience a plus

Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides), Looker and Netsuite

Make learning about the customer and shifts in shopping behaviors a regular priority.

Keep up to date on market research including assortment, innovation, pricing structure

Passionate and curious about product and financials behind a business

A four-year degree or equivalent experience

Strong financial, strategic and planning skills

Entrepreneurial spirit with strong analytical, decision-making, and organization skills

A performance-driven individual who demonstrates strong initiative and has superior leadership skills

1+ years merchandising experience preferred

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

- Experience in sales and stock management, strong result driving

- Strong data analysis skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office

- Manage on product pricing to balance sales and margin

- Manage timely entry and maintenance of purchase orders and final orders

- Price negotiation experience and capability in certain area, be familiar with industry cost

- Systems skills (merchandising system, Microsoft applications)

Manages direct buying responsibility (based on vendors or classifications) and accountability for sales and margin performance.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

3-5 years of retail buying, planning or related experience

Possesses strong merchandising, product and marketing skills

Demonstrate strong analytical, negotiating and problem-solving skills
