Assistant Neuroscience Research Coordinator Jobs

Excellent communication skills & ability to work independently and as part of a team

Experience working with NGS data (spaceranger pipeline)

Python experience using NumPy and Matplotlib

Coursework or experience with standard molecular biology, immunofluorescence, and other relevant neuroscience techniques

Process NGS data using the spaceranger pipeline

Write basic scripts for prototype phenotyping equipment

Knowledge of and experience with advanced laboratory techniques and procedures, data interpretation and statistical analysis

Aids in ongoing lab maintenance, manages lab operations, ordering, and more

Conducts a wide range of specialized techniques and laboratory experiments including animal behavior, immunolabeling, and microscopy

Analyzes data, interprets results and assists in writing materials for publication and presentation

Suggests modifications to experiments and protocols where necessary

Supervises and/or provides work direction to others in the lab

3) Perform general laboratory maintenance tasks; help with research-related ordering and grant management as needed

Special Knowledge and Skills Required:

Knowledge of molecular or cellular biology, genetics or genomics.

2) Maintain detailed records of results; perform data entry, run genetic application programs and prepare reports.

5) Experience with stem cell culture is a plus.

Interest in cognitive or educational neuroscience

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Experience with a brain imaging modality (fMRI, EEG, fNIRS) and/or psychophysiology (heart rate, skin conductance, pupillometry) or noninvasive brain stimulation (tDCS/TMS)

Experience in computer programming languages (R, Matlab, Python)

Experience analyzing neuroimaging data (e.g. SPM, FSL, AFNI, or similar platforms)

Performs data entry and maintains data files on research.

Demonstrated ability to implement general laboratory procedures, conduct research and record findings, with focus on pursuit of advanced education in field.
