Responds to inquiries from program participants, students, faculty, and others and explains program policies, procedures, and requirements, making referrals as appropriate.

Five years of related work experience. One year of experience must be serving as an advanced team member.

Collaborating with community partners and Better Life Partners providers on case management and care coordination efforts

2-3 years of experience working with substance use or related field

Responsibilities for Counselors include, but are not limited to:

Demonstrating and communicating the core values of Better Life Partners

Facilitating group therapy sessions for Better Life Partners clients

Familiarizing with and utilizing Better Life Partners evidence-based curriculum guides and training

Assists with and provides basic didactic group counseling, including psychoeducation, drug education, and family education to ensure peer support occurs.

Under direct supervision and with supervisor’s approval, carries case load, per State and contract requirements.

Candidates with PhD degrees will need 1 year of experience if their degree is not in a related filed.

Candidates with a H.S. diploma/GED need 6 years of experience.

Basic knowledge of the principles of human growth and psychosocial development

Basic knowledge of group and individual dynamics, conflict resolution and intervention techniques based on client maturation level

Experience with data abstraction or data entry.

Experienced with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Work is performed in an remote environment.

Must be comfortable working with sensitive death-related data.

Well organized with the ability to work independently to accomplish assigned tasks accurately and by established deadlines.

Participate as a member of the State Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System (SUDORS) team.

Candidates NEEDED for multiple Direct Care and Counseling jobs in Substance Use Services

We are hiring for a variety of jobs across several of our programs, including:

Required Qualifications For Substance Use Disorder Counselor 2

Provide substance use disorder treatment services to patients according to the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation standards of care, policies, and procedures

Remarkable team collaboration and peer support

Collaborating with community partners and medical providers on case management and care coordination efforts

A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with substance use or related field

Company will provide equipment (laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse and headset) plus a remote work stipend.

Responsibilities for counselors include, but are not limited to:

Utilizing evidence-based curriculum guides and training

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: Master’s degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, benefit eligible position.

Individual intake and psychosocial assessment;

Group facilitation within an intensive outpatient program setting;

Care coordination within the context of a medication assisted treatment service;

This position is 40 hours per week, with a full benefits package. Pay is commensurate with experience.

Experience in health promotion, public health, substance use prevention, harm reduction, and/or recovery support services.
