Property Maintenance Inspector Jobs

Attends community meetings and works directly with residential or other groups to alleviate neighborhood issues or other concerns.

Maintains accurate case documentation of investigations, inspections and all other case actions taken; issues abatement work orders and citations as required.

Researches information to process code case violations, property ownership, and citizen contact information.

Provides testimony during court hearings.

Assists with property and neighborhood assessments and surveys to determine overall condition; identifies property maintenance needs and deficiencies.

Completes periodic after hour and weekend inspections as needed.

Participates in meetings with citizens, owners, and management to address code-related issues and provide public education;

Must wear safety shoes meeting departmental requirements.

EACH APPLICANT MUST INCLUDE INFORMATION THAT CLEARLY DEMONSTRATES THE ABOVE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION.

Inspects properties based upon routine surveys, complaints, and/or pending rental licenses;

Signs permits, or U&O permits to determine County code compliance;

Interpret codes and regulations enforced by the division;

Property Inspection experience is a plus

Availability-daytime hours Monday-Friday for Inspections and training

Must pass Background Check and Drug Screening

Route, perform and complete report per inspection in your assigned territory.

Time service deadline, 15-20 days.

Fees paid per inspection via direct deposit on the 10th and 25th of each month as a 1099 Independent Contractor.

Performs other related job duties as assigned.

Possession of an International Code Council (ICC) Certification as Property Maintenance and

Knowledge of all phases of building construction, plumbing and electricity;
