Mental Health First Aid Coordinator Jobs

Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques by way of treatments and activities used for individuals in caseload.

Five (5) years of clinical experience which includes two (2) years in a comparable job position required.

Must possess appropriate certification or licensing in the state where practice occurs.

Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.

Conducts mental health screenings and assessments based on a review of available records and clinical interviews with inmates.

Documents treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each person seen.

Using specialized education and experience, researches and evaluates theory-based and evidence-informed mental health education programs, health promotion strategies, policies, and services.

Work experience in Higher Education.

Experience with independently analyzing and summarizing qualitative and quantitative data sets.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience in developing, implementing, and analyzing data collection efforts such as surveys and focus groups.

Experience in creating reports that summarize evaluation and research findings.

and experience working with children/adolescents related to their therapeutic/treatment needs and in

compliance with State or contractual requirements

Facilitates all necessary meetings for youth in the admission and discharge processes.

Obtains all needed signatures from parents/guardians for legal/admission paperwork, service plans, safety plans, updated consents, and other relevant documentation.

Conducts referrals and follow-up to ensure client linkage, engagement in and satisfaction with services.

Conducts regular face-to-face and virtual contacts with children, parents, and others for their caseload.
