LKQ Pick Your Part is looking for a dedicated and passionate Yard Worker as a part of our growth. As a Yard Worker, you will be responsible for removing parts from cars in our yard. The Yard Worker will also be responsible for maintaining excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Essential Job Duties:

• Could operate a forklift or loader to assist to move cars from the process to the yard.
• Pull out batteries to be tested to be resold and bring charged batteries to the retail area.
• Clean out debris from cars before they go into the processing area.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by wearing PPE and following all EPA and OSHA requirements.
• Initiates and supports the continual improvement of LKQ's quality improvement system.
• Work with Loader Operator to properly stage cars or pull cars in the yard.
• Clean the yard and place debris in designated locations.
• Dismantle tires.
• Complies with established company policies and procedures.
• Assumes other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Education And/Or Experience:

High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent desired.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

General knowledge and ability to perform relatively simple work. Must be able to work in cooperation with others. Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments. Must be able to communicate effectively with others. Must have the flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Machines And Equipment:

Basic tools, computer terminal

Physical Demands:

This position requires individuals to constantly be on their feet except when operating machinery. Individuals must be able to stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb and be able to move/lift up to 75 pounds regularly. Must be able to climb ladders, stairs and withstand heights of more than 15 feet.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, hand . This position works outdoors in all weather conditions with no coverage. Will be exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud.
