Job Description
Interim Healthcare is seeking an X-Ray Technologist for a local permanent opportunity!-up to $40/hr depending on experience! $5,000 sign-on bonus! Location: Minneapolis/St Paul metro areaPosition Summary:Performs high quality radiographic procedures in accordance with established protocols. Interacts with patients, physicians, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Applies knowledge of radiation protection, emergency protocols and procedures, and proper equipment utilization to maximize safety in the work environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Obtains accurate and complete Radiologic Images according to department protocols.Processes images in accordance with established protocol.Establishes a positive rapport with patients and explains radiographic procedures to them.Positions and interacts with patients in a professional, caring, courteous, and safe manner to ensure quality care.Complies with defined procedures for radiographic examinations to provide appropriate radiographic information for the Radiologists’ interpretation.Ensures proper protective and safety measures for patients and staff, including the utilization of radiation shielding for patients in accordance with prescribed safety standards.Asks pertinent questions of the patient, then provides an adequate clinical history to aid in diagnosis.Demonstrates proficiency in operation of all equipment. Reports malfunction and need for adjustments or repair to his/her supervisor or service vendor.Demonstrates knowledge of and accurately performs required quality control including appropriate documentation.Completes all required Enter Edit/Order Entry and tracking for all radiographic procedures in EPIC functions.Utilizes appropriate lines of communication for problem solving and conflict managementClinically supervises and instructs radiology students. Completes Performance Completion Check-offs and Performance Evaluations as needed. Instructs colleagues during their orientation to the department or for procedures they are not experienced in.Maintains accurate knowledge of image processing procedures efficiently performs responsibilities as requiredParticipates in meeting Department goals by contributing information and suggestions for the improvement of the departments’ overall performance.Maintains a neat and clean environment for patients and employees, stocks supplies, and informs appropriate individual of low stock or specific needs.Meets competency standards per checklist.Maintains knowledge of all department policies and procedures.Performs other duties as assigned.Must hold a current ARRT licenseCompetent in Fluoroscopy, C-Arms and general radiology. EPIC/PACS experience preferred, but not required.
