JOB FUNCTION:
Achievement of high quality product through the accurate reading and interpretation of X-Ray films per customer specifications.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under supervision of NDT Level III must be able to:
[1] Read and interpret indications and evaluate them per applicable documents, standards and specifications.
[2] Shall be able to organize and report test results.
[3] Know practical theory and be familiar with and able to use manuals and source books for assistance in utilizing techniques.
[4] Must be familiar with the type and location of expected defects for the fabrication process used to make the parts.
[5] Be able to set up and calibrate equipment.
[6] Be qualified to direct and carry out tests.
[7] Able to establish techniques and inspection method documents.
[8] Assure product is properly processed to the applicable method sheets.
[9] Keep area clean and adhere to safety procedures.
[10] Meet efficiency standards.
[11] Perform additional duties assigned by Dept. Supervisor and/or Level III.

[12] Maintain a positive work atmosphere, communicating in a manner that provides desired interface with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
EDUCATION:
High school graduate. Prefer 2-year technical degree.
EXPERIENCE:
Pass visual acuity exam.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Duties are complex and varied. Works with some direct supervision. Errors can be critical and must be held to a minimum.
SUPERVISION:
No supervisory responsibility.
