Job Description
This position supports the work associated with the CSOS Everyone Graduates Center, including its mission of research, professional development, collaboration with internal and external organizations, and outreach.
We are seeking a Writer/Editor/Translator who will have on-call writing and editing responsibilities for internal and external-facing texts of the Everyone Graduates Center, in print and online.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Transcripts of the Designing Education podcast.
Website content for various EGC-related websites, including the Pathways to Adult Success website.
Dissemination materials for Pathways to Adult Success.
Miscellaneous reports and blog content.
Translation into French of the Skills for Secondary School Success (4S) curriculum.
Works independently, with guidance from supervisor/colleagues.
Special Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Excellent computer skills.
Experience with website design and multi-media applications.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse constituencies, whether by phone/email or in person.
Strong organizational skills.
Fluent in French.
Able to effectively work both autonomously and collaboratively.
Excellent work ethic and habits.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Science, curriculum writing or course-related field.
Two years of experience in teaching, education, or curriculum writing.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's preferred in an education or related field.
Academic and popular-level writing experience with a particular emphasis on school reform and redesign.

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing.
