Responsible for the installation and configuration of workstation software and hardware for IT users. Learns to identify proper documented procedures and scripts used for troubleshooting end user problems.

Position Purpose:


Responsible for the installation and configuration of workstation software and hardware for IT users. Learns to identify proper documented procedures and scripts used for troubleshooting end user problems.


What You’ll Do


  • Maintains workstation hardware and software. Replaces hardware that has become faulty and corrects software issues. May order replacement parts and track status/inventory of items. Ensures tools and equipment are licensed and approved by IS purchasing.
  • Following established policies and procedures, assists in rollout and installation of workstation software and hardware. Performs software updates and handles moves, computer setup and peripherals from site to site.
  • Complete data backups and restorations for users. Assists customers/users and answers questions regarding their equipment. May perform software testing and evaluation of new software and hardware prior to production.


Work Environment: Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer. Routine transporting of items up to 30 lbs. Transporting items up to 70lbs on occasion.


Required Education


To Qualify for This Position, You’ll Need:


  • Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related field OR
  • 2 years of job-related work experience.


Required Skills And Abilities


  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Able to provide Tier II support to IT users for basic software and hardware of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems.
  • Able to identify and follow proper documented procedures and scripts used for troubleshooting problems.


Required Software And Other Tools


  • Familiarity with computer and workstation equipment.


Required Licenses And Certificates


  • A+ Certification


We Prefer That You Have


  • 1 year of Medicare (CGS) support experience.
  • Experience with addressing companywide outages.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Experience in leading large project level efforts
  • 1 year-of technical operations support experience.
  • High energy, self-starter, team player, works well with little to no supervision, positive, overtime as needed, sticks to work schedule & schedules leave.
  • Experience with enterprise asset management solution.
  • Vast knowledge of Network printer configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and cert authentication.
