Summary of Responsibilities

As part of the crew, the Floorhand operates machines and maintains equipment used for the workover rig. Most of their time is spent on the rig floor assisting the driller with a multitude of functions. Floorhands normally work 12-hour shifts. Schedules will consist of fourteen days on and fourteen days off; working both days and nights. Floorhands are expected to represent his/herself and Noble in a good manner. Floorhands should always follow the correct chain of command and report all safety problems or violations immediately.

Primary Responsibilities (Not listed in relation to their priority)

1. Perform service on oil wells as part of a 3–5 person crew of a workover rig

2. Assisting in rigging up or rigging down

3. Basic care and maintenance of rig, tools, equipment, and trucks

4. Picking up or laying down tubing

5. Driving crew truck when necessary

6. Complete time sheets and work tickets accurately

7. Physical labor includes heavy lifting, crouching, standing, and other duties as needed.

8. Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:


Preferred Qualifications

1. High School diploma, GED or equivalent

2. 1-2 years of floorhand experience

3. Basic problem-solving skills

4. Organizational skills

5. Ability to work in adverse weather conditions

6. Ability to effectively communicate both oral and written

7. Customer service skills

8. Basic oilfield well servicing experience

9. Ability to bend, crouch, and lift objects of up to 75 pounds for extended periods of time

10. Ability to multi-task and be adaptable

11. Ability to work in a face paced environment

Special Requirements

1. 18 years or older

2. Valid Driver’s License

3. Average shift: 12-hour workdays

4. Rotation: fourteen days on fourteen days off

Travel Requirements

Travel to rig location before tower begins.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
