Job Description
Job Summary


The Manufacturing Worker is responsible for assembling and installing sub-assembly components on commercial HVAC products. A majority of the work will be in traditional assembly line fashion while working as a team. This method allows duties to be completed in a safe and timely manner in accordance with relevant codes and quality standards.


Essential Job Functions


The following is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities that are expected of a Manufacturing Worker:


  • Works overtime as assigned.
  • Reads blueprints and order forms, and verifies the parts required prior to assembly and/or installation.
  • Works cooperatively with others.
  • Stands for 95% of workdays.
  • Tests all wiring and verifies every unit has correct parts.
  • Wipes down units in preparation to paint.
  • Maintains a satisfactory work attendance.
  • Communicates with other stations on the assembly line to ensure maximum speed and accuracy.
  • Lifts 25-50 pounds, practicing safe lifting techniques.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Assembles and installs sub-assembly components accurately, thoroughly and quickly to approved specifications.
  • Meets production and target quotas.
  • Sends units to paint for final production.
  • Collects the necessary copper to prep before brazing.
  • Works a variable work schedule as assigned.
  • Rotates through multiple stations as directed.
  • Works in cold/hot/dusty/loud environment.
  • Brazes copper pieces to the unit as designed.
  • Gathers correct wire layout for each unit.


Minimum Required Qualifications


An individual in this position must have the following minimum required qualifications. Education beyond the minimum is an added advantage for career development activities.


  • Ability to regularly lift 25-50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for 95% of work days
  • Ability to pass a drug test/background test
  • 18 years or older


Work Environment


While performing the duties of this job the employee will work in a manufacturing facility and regularly be exposed to:


  • Sheet Metal
  • Varying and extreme temperatures
  • Humidity, loud noises, dirt
  • Forklift traffic
