Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL) Information Management group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a WordPress Developer Support Engineer
Our team works a remote 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off!
Responsibilities Include:
Maintain and secure WordPress environment and applications.
Administer INL’s WordPress environment. Work with DevOps team and WordPress vendors to troubleshoot WordPress applications by identifying and resolving the cause of WordPress errors.
Review WordPress applications for security, must both respond to identified WordPress vulnerabilities and proactively work to identify potential vulnerabilities. Actively maintain awareness of the off the shelf and custom developed WordPress plugins in our environment and any potential security weakness they present.
Collaborate with the INL DevOps team to adjust the configurations of our MariaDB, WordPress and Kubernetes environment to ensure it meets INL Architecture and Security standards.
Use knowledge in industry standards and solutions surrounding WordPress hosting and how to implement them to suggest and implement creative well-designed solutions consistent with the objectives provided by customers.
Take initiative in identifying organizational needs and works with lead to present those needs to customers. Take ownership of directives and tasks that have been assigned to him and follows them through to completion. Working to completion includes working with the testing organization and customers to validate those solutions meet needs and quality expectations.
Participate in working with customers and vendors to coordinate releases through the Information Management change approval process.
Provide design input and analysts on project milestones; analyzes weaknesses and recommends system improvements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience with version control and change control processes.
- Experience using automated DevOps process.
- Experience with SQL or MySQL.
- Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining WordPress applications.
- Applicants are subject to the requirements of DOE O 142.3B, Unclassified Foreign National Access Program.
- Demonstrable experience supporting WordPress including developing custom WordPress components.
- Bachelor's degree plus 5-8+ years or Advanced degree or 3-6+ years or 13-16 years’ work experience in information technology or related field.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with containerization technologies.
- Experience deploying applications through an Azure DevOps Pipeline.

- Salary Grade: PR0300: 210 ($93,492 - $154,212) / Salary Grade PR0400: 220 ($107,520 - $177,336)
