Shift Hours: Friday - Monday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Common Carrier) or 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Grounds Shipping)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Weekend Shift Material Handler accurately and efficiently picks, preps, and packages products to fulfill orders. This role operates a variety of warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet daily objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Other duties as assigned
• Meet or exceed the department standards for productivity and accuracy
• Downsize packaging to minimize shipping costs without sacrificing product quality and ensure that the product will be delivered without damage
• Safely operate and maintain warehouse equipment to carry out job duties; adhere to all safety training and Company policies
• Ensure that all orders are prepped properly in a timely manner with strong attention to detail
• Maintain a clean work area, including the removal of empty boxes from bins or aisles as needed

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
• Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 10 hours/day
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
• Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.
