Position Overview:

Warehousemen are vital members of our team at Pella Mid-Atlantic. In this position, an employee will perform variety of duties in the warehouse including, but not limited to, receiving product, scanning and tracking material through the building, using order pickers and forklifts to store and pull material in the warehouse, and loading outbound delivery. Pella Mid-Atlantic is reputable for excellent customer service and as a Warehouseman, it is crucial that all orders have been correctly staged and loaded to ensure the delivery and installation process to run seamlessly.

For this position, Pella Mid-Atlantic is searching for a detail-oriented professional with exceptional work ethic and the ability to adapt to change in the daily work schedule. In addition to the above mentioned responsibilities and skills, a candidate must be forklift certified and have experience with order pickers.

Responsibilities:

• Review daily reports and prints (as necessary) material sheets to plan and prep materials in advance
• Handle all inventory orders for install and service warehouse stock
• Receive all materials and scan material in and out to proper location.
• Assist in weekly cycle counts and reconciliation
• Returns all phone calls & E-mail by the end of each business day
• Maintains a safe, clean and organized work environment
• Responsible for work assigned in the warehouse preparing our materials for shipping, receiving materials delivered to the warehouse, making sure all material is staged, ready and visually inspected for quality control

Skills:

• Excellent communicative skills including, but not limited to, the ability to speak professionally and clearly, the ability to listen, remember, and apply instruction, and write legibly and concisely
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
• Uses equipment and materials properly
• Gathers and analyzes information skillfully
• At least 1 year of construction or warehouse experience
• Reports potentially unsafe conditions
• Possesses team-player mentality
• Ability to operate a forklift, order picker, and pallet jack
• AA or Technical degree preferred, High School Diploma with experience
• Prior knowledge of window and door applications or components is desirable but not required
• Adapts to frequent changes in the work environment such as delays or unexpected events
• Is consistently at work and on time
• Shows initiative by seeking increased responsibilities/opportunities
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in a timely fashion
• Demonstrates attention to detail
• Observes safety and security procedures
• Reacts well under pressure and treats others with respect and consideration
