WAREHOUSE WORKER (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) - SAN LUIS OBISPO COAST DISTRICT / FACILITIES / SAN SIMEON WAREHOUSE


The reporting location for this position is the San Luis Obispo Coast District warehouse in San Simeon. This position works under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Chief III.


The incumbent’s work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.


The successful candidate will be responsible for the district warehouse. The primary job responsibilities are mail collection and distribution, shipping and receiving, ordering/delivering supplies, recordkeeping and maintaining a well-stocked and organized warehouse. The incumbent works with all principal sections in the district, including Hearst Castle.


This position requires a valid California Class C Driver’s license and a good driving record is required.


Training and Development Assignments may be considered.


This position may work up to 1500 hours per year/in a 12 consecutive month period.

Working Conditions


Work may involve moderate exposure to extreme elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant orders, and loud noises. The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following basic safety precautions. Outdoor work is common. Typical work activities involve frequent and prolonged periods of standing and walking.
