Fireworks Forever is looking for people who like to move! Ideal candidates are mature, active, results driven, and quick to learn with a track record for respect, responsibility, effort, and safety. A genuine respect for backyard fireworks and the workplace, and the ability to safely lift and move heavy and bulky objects are musts. Experience is a plus.

Job Type: Seasonal April – July 4

Pay: $20/hr, +$2/hr weekends (Sat/Sun), +$5/hr Peak Season (6/24/23-7/4/23), paid training ($18/hr)

The primary functions of a Warehouse Worker:

• Maintain appearance of warehouse, stock areas and outdoor storage
• Interior and exterior housekeeping
• Safely, properly, and efficiently handle stock
• Support warehouse management and staff
• Maximize client satisfaction and retention

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform the following essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining the Company's standard of Customer Service.
• Make Manager aware of rule infractions and potential safety/security concerns immediately.
• Communicate case, storage, labeling, staff, client, legal, safety, and security issues to Warehouse Managers.
• Accurately pull and prepare orders.
• Handle all merchandise with appropriate care in a way that reduces damages, expense, test product, and shrink.
• Assist in keeping building and grounds safe, secure, clean, organized, and neat.
• Stock merchandise while maintaining the Company's standard of Customer Service including acknowledgement of all customers through verbal and non-verbal forms, such as a greeting/thanking, smiling and eye contact.
• Above average knowledge of product categories, safe and legal product use, and layout.
• Ensure cases, products, and shipments are correctly labeled and packaged.
• Assist in keeping building and grounds safe, secure, clean, organized, and neat.
• Answer customer questions in keeping with Company Handbook and Code of Ethics, directing inquiries to qualified employee when necessary.

Age, Education and/or Experience Requirements

• Must have at least 2 years secondary education.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Language Skills

• Ability to effectively present information both one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to effectively communicate with diverse clientele and coworkers
• Ability to write simple correspondence.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out multi-step instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to deal with people effectively.

Other Skills and Abilities

• Must have excellent teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
• Above average spatial awareness.
• Must be a positive, courteous, energetic, enthusiastic, and results focused self-starter.
• Must have common sense, physical and mental strength and stamina.

While performing the duties of this job, a person is regularly and/or repeatedly required to: stand, walk, kneel, pull, push, crouch, regularly lift 50+ pounds and/or move 90+ pounds; talk and hear; for 8+ hours. Work may take place indoors or outdoors. Event weekends and peak season dates may require consecutive 12+ hour shifts and/or mandatory overtime.

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
