About This Position


The purpose and function of the Warehouse Supervisor position is to oversee critical functions of the distribution network that supports supplying Honda and Acura dealer body with Automobile, Motorcycle and Power Equipment Parts. The Warehouse Supervisor position is responsible for handling the distribution center’s processes to include receiving inbound freight, stocking, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control functions.


Responsibilities Include


  • Responsible for the training of new associates on daily activities
  • Supervising warehouse associates, managing daily activities, and orchestrating workforce to match workload for productivity
  • Tracking, evaluating, and reporting root cause and countermeasures for warehouse productivity to management
  • Developing associates and providing a business vision for world class customer service
  • Setting the standard of performance for workgroup associates and managing results, based on departmental business objectives
  • Providing associate counselling and disciplinary actions when needed
  • Creating and implementing process improvement initiatives for efficiency and quality
  • Monitoring warehouse supplies and maintain just in time levels
  • Ensuring compliance and company policies, OSHA, health, and safety regulations
  • Ensuring warehouse and material handling equipment upkeep and maintenance is performed
  • Communicating with other departments, dealers, transport carriers, and supply vendors


Required Work Experience


  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Previous exemplary performance in job-related field may partially compensate fo lack of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of automobile, motorcycle, and power equipment lines a plus
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office and AHM related software/applications
  • Demonstrated ability to work in team-oriented environment
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop associates
  • Good written, verbal, interpersonal and telephone communication skills
  • One to three years of Supervision/Leadership experience required in related field
  • Proven ability to handle projects from creation and completion
  • Time management skills and the ability to delegate
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Three plus years in a job-related field with increasing responsibility
  • Proven ability to handle projects from creation to completion


Required Education


  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency/ Associate Degree or Equivalent job-related experience
