Job Description

  • Performs case pick, layer pick, pallet pick, stages, loads, receives and effectively warehouses all materials.

  • Supports and supplies finished goods, raw materials and packaging to the Kent manufacturing plant.
  • Frequently stoop, bend, or squat to reach below 56" shelf or lift up to 60" high.

  • Confirms all shipments through the use of specific computer systems.
  • High School Graduate.
  • Be flexible to work any shift and overtime.
  • Rotates stock on a FIFO basis through the use of specific computer systems, continuously.
  • Performs daily visual inspection of your forklift and document results continuously.
  • Work in a team environment of continuous improvement.
  • Works in a Bar Code environment using Laser Scanners, Tracking Devices, and Label Printers, continuously.
  • Continuously read, write, and ensure the accuracy of various mathematical functions.
  • Dusts, sweeps, mops, scrapes, scrubs, and paints using the necessary tools provided by CMI.
  • Identifies, confronts, addresses and resolves problems using root cause process analysis.

  • Performs daily safety inspections of trucks, materials, and equipment to conform with regulatory compliance standards.

  • Prints PO Receipts, picklists, bills of lading, verify accuracy of documents concerning material movement.

  • Lift and carry for short distances, and transfer up to 50lbs on a frequent basis.

  • Compensation (effective 1/1/2023): The pay for this position is pre-determined at $22.60 per hour with an additional $1.75 per hour for shift differential. Compensation for this role has been determined based on required experience, education, certification, and training. All positions are eligible for additional incentives based on business performance. The purpose of this position is to safely and efficiently manage the receipt, internal movement (to include warehouse organization and good housekeeping), shipment of materials and machinery to satisfy our internal and external customer's needs. Essential Functions: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.
  • Cycles count inventory in warehouse zones using the equipment and systems provided.
  • Follow all Safety rules and guidelines at all times. Position Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Experience driving a forklift Attendance: To support ongoing business goals and successfully contribute to your team, acceptable levels of performance and attendance must be consistently maintained. Schedule: This position is available on our night shift working a Sunday night through Friday morning from 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM. Quality: Employee must follow procedures to ensure all food quality standards are met or exceeded. Safety/Legal: Employees are required to conduct their work in a safe and legal manner, according to all GMP food safety standards as well as following any safety protocols. Employees must be willing to be responsible for their safety and health as well as the safety and health of all employees, vendors and visitors. Employee must follow procedures to ensure all food quality standards are met or exceeded. Physical Demands and Work Environment: As a member of the logistics team, you will be exposed to a variety of physical demands that require you to lift heavy objects, exert energy, and bend, twist and squat. Employees stand and walk on concrete while wearing steel-toed shoes, uniforms, hair nets, bump caps, gloves and safety glasses. Operating a forklift requires the ability to step up into and down from the machine frequently. The use of company-provided hearing protection is also required in stated areas. Work takes place in an indoor production environment that has a high level of food dust and limited climate control. Will enter confined spaces and work at above-floor heights.
