We are currently seeking talented individuals for our Warehouse Lead Person position!

Here is some of what you’ll do…

POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the Pacific Region Parts Manager, the Warehouse Lead Person recommends improvements and oversees daily warehouse operations and personnel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Is responsible for tracking shipping exceptions.
• Picks up and delivers parts and coordinates any special deliveries, freight, and shipping, as needed.
• Unloads and receives all incoming freight, fills backorders, adds freight to documents, and reconciles any discrepancies, as needed.
• Processes any outgoing shipments including adding freight to documents, scheduling shipments with the freight company, and preparing all shipping documentation.
• Is responsible for inter-departmental shipping and receiving status communications.
• Checks in, receives, and puts away all stock orders. Reconciles any discrepancies, as needed.
• Leads and implements warehouse continuous improvement projects and 5S initiatives.
• Ensures daily compliance of inventory counts.
• Motivates and trains personnel in parts warehouse procedures.
• Assist customers in will call, as needed.
• Assists the Manager and Coordinators with scheduling and assigning warehouse personnel workload and responsibilities.
• Pulls and delivers parts orders for customers and the shop, as needed.
• Leads all daily warehouse operations.
• Ensures warehouse is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion, in accordance with contamination control and housekeeping compliance.
• Provides any needed customer support.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

• Must have PC skills.
• Must have a complete understanding of shipping and receiving procedures.
• Must be able to make hydraulic hose assemblies.
• Must have the ability to travel and train warehouse staff across the region.
• Must have a complete understanding of freight recovery procedures.
• Must have a mastery level of knowledge of warehouse roles and operations.
• Must display leadership qualities, to include, the ability to build trust with others, excellent communication, and the ability to motivate a team.
• Must have the ability to work effectively between dealer verticals.
• Must have high aptitude for adaptation and integration of technology.
• Must have the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Must be able to multi-task and complete assignments.
• Must have a valid Drivers License with a good driving record.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be forklift certified or able to be certified within 60 days.
• 5 years’ of CAT Dealer warehouse or Parts department experience, preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Talking Communicates by radio, phone, and in person.
• Climbing In and out of equipment.
• Sitting Sits in equipment and vehicles for extended periods.
• Handling Seizes, helps, or works with hands.
• Lifting Raises or lowers miscellaneous equipment parts.
• Stooping Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
• Standing Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.
• Lifting Lifts up to 60lbs. daily, frequent exertion.
• Vision Reads work tickets and parts books.
• Walking Moves about on foot, often through uneven terrain.
• Reaching Extends hands and arms in any direction.

ENVIRONMENTAL

• Noise Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
• Temp/Weather Works outside and in warehouse with variations of temperature and weather.
• Exposure Subject to foul odors, fumes, and harsh substances.
