Warehouse Supervisor

Location: 2135 Sprint Blvd Apopka, FL 32703

Hours 2 pm to 1030 pm

The Fulfillment Specialist II Lead (warehouse supervisor) coordinates the activities and productivity of the warehouse Fulfillment Specialist I and II teams in the evening and on weekends. Assists the warehouse supervisor with replenishment and maintaining adequate supplies. Assists in the routine duties of picking and packaging supplies as requested on the pick tickets, including any additional supplies needed by the various hospital departments. Monitors the picking requirements, accuracy, packaging, and completeness of the team's process. Make schedules and distribute the work load to members of the team. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Knowledge And Skills Required

• Must be able to work independently and within a team environment
• Must be willing to learn and operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
• Retrieve and transport product to assigned slots
• Ability to coordinate the activities of a diverse work force
• Courteous, with ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various backgrounds
• Must be willing to learn and operate Warehouse Management System (WMS) technologies
• Must have a good attention to detail
• Ability to identify and sort items, count accurately and determine the correct unit of measures
• General computer skills and ability to work with the latest technology in a paper or paperless environment to perform picking/pulling/staging and cross-docking orders
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, able to budget team and his/her time and activities as need to accomplish the tasks at hand to meet daily deadlines. Must also be able to follow a schedule and instructions
• Ability to read and write in English

Knowledge And Skills Preferred

• Material Handling Equipment (MHE) experience- Reach Truck, Order Picker, Powered Pallet-jack, Forklift
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience

Education And Experience Required

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
• General knowledge of a variety of basic topics, such as math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc.

Licensure, Certification, Or Registration Preferred

• Warehouse Certification and Operations Certification also a plus
• (MHE) certification- Reach Truck, Order Picker, Powered Pallet-jack, Forklift

Principal Duties And Job Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse counts and participate in warehouse inventories
• Coordinate the activities of the fulfillment team; monitor the system for effective operations
• Complete pre-shift equipment inspection as required; report any unsafe conditions to management
• Provides regular feedback to supervisors and managers on teammate performance
• Identify correct supplies and applicable unit of measure
• Utilize material handling equipment, safely and efficiently, to transport product to shipping locations or delivery platforms and ensuring orders are staged for delivery.
• Utilize a material warehouse management system to ascertain catalog number, size, color, and quantity of merchandise to be picked from bins, shelves, or locations.
• Assigns job functions to teammates according to operational demands
• Lead and direct the activity of a team performing product fulfillment functions
• Shrink-wrap pallets
• Must meet established minimum productivity standards in a fast-paced working environment.
• Train or ensures the training of new teammates and works to retrain existing teammates in job functions as needed
• Maintain a clean and neat working environment
• Confirm the picking of order on the computer or equivalent technology; verify the order; label the containers
• Maintain a quality of work that limits miss-picks, shorts and damages
• Replenish bin locations as needed
• Dispose of waste materials.
• Ability to pick, build and transport a stable pallet of various products
• Load Trucks as needed
• Follow all safety guidelines while operating powered equipment
• Performs other duties as assigned or directed by supervisor
• Select and obtain necessary packing materials to pack orders
• Complete training course and pass Powered Industrial Truck Certification (PIT) requirements
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists teammates in solving work problems
• Work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, as scheduled

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
