Job Description
As a Warehouse Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records. Your responsibilities will include conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, performing quality checks, and supporting the product recall process. This shift will be Monday-Friday 8:00a-4:30p. You will also assist as a Will-call Clerk on scheduled Saturdays. This position requires the ability to work in extreme temperature conditions and will involve physical labor.


Responsibilities:


  • Identify and address discrepancies and product/packaging integrity issues
  • Execute the recoup function as needed
  • Verify and record reserve pallet counts
  • Analyze management reports to identify inventory shrinkage causes
  • Investigate causes of weight variances, receiving/put away/letdown issues, and damaged products
  • Perform a minimum of four cycle counts per year, including pick and reserve slots
  • Monitor and maintain proper rotation of FIFO items
  • Conduct regular cycle counts of the warehouse inventory to ensure accuracy
  • Coordinate will-call orders as scheduled
  • Initiate and document product transfers between temperature zones
  • Review and validate the put-away and transfer processes
  • Perform quality checks on date-sensitive, slow-moving, and obsolete items in coordination with the merchandising team


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience, preferably in inventory control
  • Strong verbal communication skills for interactions with customers and associates
  • Proficient in English language (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, as business demands require
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence effectively
  • Proficient in basic arithmetic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Physical ability to lift and move cases weighing up to 100 pounds


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:


  • Internal certification for operating a pallet jack, forklift, and Hi-Rise forklift


Physical Demands: The role involves physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, reaching, and moving heavy objects. It requires good vision and hearing for safety reasons and operating equipment.


  • Good vision and hearing for understanding instructions and detecting hazards
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers for object handling and control operation
  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds repeatedly for extended periods


Work Environment: The work environment will expose you to varying conditions that require adaptability and safety awareness.


  • Regular presence near moving machinery and equipment
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures ranging from minus 10 degrees F to 85 degrees F or higher
  • Noise level is consistently high due to operational activity
  • Possible exposure to chemicals and dust
