Job Description
Walk-ins Welcome


**This is an in-person role, located in Buford GA**


NICOR is looking for talented people to join our team. We want individuals who like to have fun, work hard, aren't afraid of challenges, and want to be part of a great team.


Under direct supervision of the Warehouse Manager, to perform all warehouse functions necessary in the daily operation of a distribution warehouse. Including but not limited to, moving inventory and other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or shipping containers by hand, tractors, or other equipment. Back up other warehouse functions and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Participate in ongoing product and company-wide training.
  • Ship inventory using the most cost-effective methods and carriers using SHIMS and other software provided.
  • Install protective devices such as corner bracing and shrink wrap to prevent shifting or damage during shipping.
  • Pick, pack, weigh, and attach identifying tags/labels for shipping inventory.
  • Read pick tickets, and packing slips and operate scan guns.
  • Stage incoming/outgoing inventory in the proper location(s)
  • Load/unload inventory as required from the appropriate shipping container or delivery vehicle.
  • Maintain warehouse and equipment in a safe, organized, and clean manner.
  • Notify Return Good Authorization (RGA) Quality Control (QC) Inspector of customer returns.
  • Communicate as necessary with Warehouse Manager to ensure accurate and efficient control of inventory.
  • Perform related duties to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient use of all warehouse equipment, supplies, and materials.
  • Perform standard inventory control functions as required to maintain accurate and efficient control of inventory.
  • Record the number of units received or shipped.
  • Perform Quality Control (QC) Inspection of all incoming inventory.


Minimum Job Requirements


  • Minimum one (1) year of warehouse experience
  • High School diploma or GED


Preferred Qualifications


  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of warehouse processes and procedures
  • Must be able to follow instructions.
  • Fast-paced busy department, team members must be punctual and have good attendance.
  • Shipping and freight processes, regulations, and procedures
  • Basic math and reading (English) skills.


Working Conditions


  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, and fumes.
  • Requires standing and/or walking for more than six (6) hours per day.
  • Moderate to extreme physical activity requires handling of average-weight objects up to 35 pounds occasionally 75 pounds.
